The Legend of Zelda

“LISTEN!”

Navi

I made it to the last day of the A to Z Challenge! Day 26 is about The Legend of Zelda! (Click here for a full list of topics)

The first Zelda game I ever played was Ocarina of Time. My brother got the game when he got his Nintendo 64 for either his birthday or Christmas. I can’t remember which. Him and I both played for countless hours. I never beat the game, because I tend to start over if I stop playing a game for too long, but my brother has beaten it multiple times. I think he has even completed it (done all the side quests as well as beating the main storyline in one play through of the game).

Ocarina of Time

When my brother got a GameCube, it came with a compilation disc that had The Legend of Zelda, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, Ocarina of Time, and Majora’s Mask. It also had a 20-minute demo of The Wind Waker. We played the demo so many times just to see if we could get further into the game than the last time before the 20 minutes ran out. Eventually, we got the actual game and were able to play it in it’s entirety. Wind Waker is one of the few games that I can say I have beaten. Although my brother doesn’t believe me, so I borrowed it a few months ago to beat it again so I can show him 😛 But I have yet to finish because, well, I’m an adult now and life.

Majora's Mask

My favourite Zelda game, from an artistic point of view, is Majora’s Mask. The story is dark and the world is dark yet the game is still lighthearted and fun. I will admit, I suck at Majora’s Mask. I have never gotten very far. But what I have played of it has been really fun.

I really need to work on actually beating games…

Anyway, The Legend of Zelda is my favourite video game series. And one of these days I will beat more than one of the games! (Promise!)

What’s your favourite video game? And what’s your favourite Zelda title?

Thank you to everyone who has come around for the A to Z Challenge! It has been a fun (and busy) month of blogging 🙂
